Provan Hall Community Management Trust is a registered charity (SC047978). with responsibility for enabling public access and engagement with this historic site.
Our Board of Trustees brings together people with expertise from a range of social, educational, cultural and commercial organisations. We have a small staff team supported by dedicated volunteers.
A community trust
Provan Hall has been owned by the National Trust for Scotland since 1930s, but from the 1950s it was leased to Glasgow City Council along with the surrounding land; in the 2020s, management was passed to the Provan Hall Community Management Trust. The community trust's mission is to create and manage a sustainable heritage attraction which enhances the lives of the local community and ensures that heritage is valued and understood.
Doing the right thing
We are committed to being:
- inclusive and accessible, both physically and intellectually
- environmentally friendly in our use of materials, suppliers, activities and transport
- supportive of the local economy wherever possible by attracting visitors, employing locally and procuring goods and services locally
- ethical in the way we provide services, employ staff and engage volunteers by using the Glasgow Living Wage as a minimum and implementing supportive people policies
- a transparent and accountable organisation
- a culture where Trustees, staff and volunteers feel valued and everyone has a voice.
