What to see
Historic interiors, gardens and exhibitions
With multimedia interpretation, replica furnishings, and restored interiors and exteriors, Provan Hall takes you back to 16th century Glasgow, and the home of William and Elizabeth Baillie. This was their home during the tumultuous reign of Mary, Queen of Scots.
Souvenirs of your visit
Gift shop and refreshments
Our gift shop is located in the 18th century South Block of Provan Hall, and features a range of books - both new bestsellers and second-hand bargains - branded stationery, candles, paranormal merchandise and more. You can also pick up a hot drink or sweet snack to enjoy as you wander the gardens or explore Auchinlea Park.
Temporary exhibitions
Changing displays exploring local and national stories
Curated by Provan Hall's heritage trainees and community groups, our exhibitions shine a spotlight on lesser-known people, places and events, and highlight local angles of famous historical incidents. Our current exhibition explores the Scottish witch trials.
